The tools that are absolete is something we can't run away from, however you can teach students of using softwares that do not alays want you to upgrade your Pc or Laptop like most from microsoft. Instead you can use programs from Linux and other coponies that are using freeware as well as open siurce software. This will limit them to use a lot of their money in purchasing softwares abg programs now and again. They can use their resources elsewhere
TK.It is not everybody who understands what you are referring to like you have listed the learner- centred activities that are used in an ICT millieu. With due respect, in future, think of educators who are gradually getting used to the e-education and cater for their paces. Among such educators there are those who do not understand what a PowerPoint or webquest is.They also need to be enlightened and not just run over as though they know. Bare with me, what I have raised here is a reality.
The use of computers and other related electronic equipment in schools contribute to the generation of waste.This waste is expensive to dispose and also very much harmful.As a developing country South Africa through its bilateral relations with developed countries benefit from donations , for example computer donations to schools.
